AKay47 who resides in Port Moresby (PNG), is one of Papua New Guinea’s premier DJ’s. AKay started as a House DJ in 2001 and moved to R’n’B and Hip Hop in 2003 after gaining a resident DJ spot at one of Brisbane’s long standing clubs – The Empire @ Fortitude Valley.
Spinning both cd’s and vinyl, AKay gets special attention for his seamless, artistic and smooth transitional style. His sound is n fun and booty shaking blend of Hip Hop, R’nB, Reggae beats and big club anthems fused together to create an uplifting energy. He does, however, maintain consistency through his successful objective of delivering a “fun, phat & playful energy” throughout each performance.
His energy, talent and professionalism has taken him around the Pacific playing in Australia, PNG & Fiji. Club owners and promoters find it a pleasure to work with AKay47 because of his practical down to earth attitude about life and business.
