AKay47 a.k.a Allen Kedea is young creative musician from Central Province, Papua New Guinea.
Like most island musicians Allen learned to play music at an early age 'by-ear'. Having no formal training he learned to play by jamming with his older brother (David Kedea Jnr) and father (famous lead guitarist David Kedea Snr). At an early age Allen picked up on the art of harmony, song structure, music composition, guitar & piano rhythm and lead section and basic percussion.
Having composed his first song at the age of 14 and eventually going on to win the festival of music in 1997 in high school at the age of 17 pushed Allen to pursue music in his university years in Brisbane while studying at Griffith University's QLD College of Art - Bachelor of Design.
Allen lived in Brisbane (Australia) for the larger part of his teen & adult life (1991-2007) moved back to PNG late 2007 to work on a youth based project funded by World Bank & AusAID called The ONE Motu-Koita Youth Music Competition which was targeted at helping youth from all motu-koita villages within the PNG's national capital district.
Since moving back to PNG the AKay47 brand has proved to be a winning success with Allen touring PNG in 2009 Djing in all the major provinces in PNG.
Allen is currently working on his 2nd studio album under the AKay47 alias.
